What is StatSetter?

StatSetter is a volleyball analytics platform for tracking stats in real time, syncing with match video, streaming matches with live scoreboards, and getting AI-powered coaching feedback.

Do I need to download anything?

The web app runs in your browser at app.statsetter.com — no download needed. The mobile app is available on the App Store for iOS.

How long is the free trial?

14 days with full access to all features. No credit card required to start.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Account → Manage Billing. Your access continues until the end of your billing period.

Stats & Tracking

What stat categories does StatSetter track?

Attack, Serve, Receive, Set, Dig, Block, Team Error, Point, and Timeout. Each has specific outcomes (e.g., Kill/Error/Zero for attacks). See Stat Categories for the full breakdown.

How is hitting percentage calculated?

(Kills - Errors) / Total Attacks. See Calculations & Formulas for all formulas.

Can I edit stats after recording them?

Yes. Click any event in the timeline to edit the player, outcome, court position, or delete it entirely.

Do I need to record stats in real time?

It’s recommended but not required. You can review video after the match and enter stats at any pace using the video sync feature.

Video

What video formats are supported?

MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, and WebM. MP4 with H.264 encoding works best.

Can I use YouTube videos?

Yes. Paste a YouTube URL (public or unlisted) directly into the video player. YouTube live stream replays work too.

Where is my video stored?

Uploaded video files are stored locally in your browser. They don’t upload to our servers. YouTube videos stream directly from YouTube.

How do highlights work?

Click the scissors icon on any stat event to create a highlight clip. For YouTube videos, it saves a timestamp reference. For local video, it extracts a 6-second clip.

Mobile App

Is the mobile app free?

The app is free to download. Feature access depends on your subscription plan.

Does the mobile app work offline?

No. The mobile app requires an internet connection to save stats. The web app has full offline support.

Can I track stats without streaming?

Yes. Choose Remote from the Hub for portrait-mode stat tracking without the camera or streaming.

What are voice commands?

You can speak stat entries hands-free. Say something like “seven kill left front” and it records the stat automatically. See Voice Commands for the full reference.

AI Features

What is AI Form Analysis?

Record a short clip of a player’s serve or attack, and AI analyzes their technique — body positioning, arm swing, timing, footwork — and provides coaching feedback. See AI Form Analysis.

What is the AI Stats Generator(Coming Soon)?

Upload match video and AI automatically detects plays, identifies players by jersey number, and generates stat events. See AI Stats Generator.

Is my video data private?

Yes. Video for Form Analysis is uploaded securely and processed server-side. It’s used only for your analysis and is not stored permanently by the AI provider. The AI Stats Generator processes video locally or on our dedicated infrastructure.

Account & Billing

How do I change my plan?

Go to Account → Manage Billing to access the Stripe billing portal. From there you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.

Can I switch from Individual to Coach?

Yes. Change your plan in the billing portal. Your existing data carries over.

What happens when my trial ends?

You can continue on the Free plan (limited features) or subscribe to a paid plan. Your data is preserved either way.

How do I invite team members?

Go to Account → Team Members → enter their email. They’ll receive an invite link. Available on Coach and Club plans.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us at support@statsetter.com and we’ll handle it.

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in two places: locally in your browser (IndexedDB) and in the cloud (hosted on Supabase with PostgreSQL). Cloud storage enables cross-device access.

Can I export all my data?

Yes. Go to Backup → Export All Data for a full JSON backup. You can also export stats as CSV, JSON, or PDF from the Reports tab.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Cloud data is protected by row-level security — each organization can only access its own data. We never sell or share your data.
